A stately Spaeth Alder tree sits at the heart of the glade, surrounded by a beautiful seating area, inviting visitors to pause and take a moment and reflect.

This resource is aimed at 5-11 year olds and has an emphasis on: visualisations, remembrance and drawing.

Our programme of daily activities has been designed to help you make the most of your visit.

Lockdown Landscapes

In partnership with the National Forest Company, Westminster Abbey and Sampad, we have produced a nationwide programme of exhibitions exploring communities’ engagement with local outdoor heritage during the pandemic, displayed across our 150 acre site.

Key Stage 3

We offer a variety of sessions to support curriculum learning and enhance children’s understanding of Remembrance.

Key Stage 4

Our KS4 offer has a range of full day and short activities to support curriculum and GCSE learning.

Key Stage 1

Our Key Stage 1 offer has a range of engaging activities that have been designed to suit the needs of your school and are appropriate for the age and ability of students lasting from 30 minutes through to a full day.

Key Stage 2

Through a range of Explorer days our Key Stage 2 offer gives students the chance to interact with the subject of remembrance in a variety of ways through guided tours and talks and classroom-based activities that last up to a full day.

Teacher Training and CPD

We welcome and encourage teachers and trainee teachers to visit the National Memorial Arboretum as part of Teacher Training and CPD.
