Military Visits

Visiting Us

Please note that by law you can only visit in groups of up to 6 people (unless you are visiting as a household or support bubble which is larger than 6).

The Arboretum is now open for pre-booked visitors only. Bookings are made per vehicle and can only be made up to two weeks in advance.

In line with Government legislation, we ask all visitors to wear masks in all indoor spaces.

We have implemented new procedures to help keep our visitors and team members safe, including one way systems, additional cleaning regimes, amended food offer, digital chapel welcome talk and reduced daily capacity.

Our restaurant is currently offering a carry out and table service offer. If you wish to dine inside the restaurant, please book a table with our food services team on arrival.

The Arboretum welcomes all Armed Forces personnel, from those currently serving to Cadets who visit us as part of their training.

Using our inspiring landscape as inspiration for a series of activities and tours, there is plenty for your group to do while at the Arboretum.

Guided Tours

Our interactive guided tours are led by our team of specially trained guides. They encompass a number of emotive and symbolic memorials from civilian groups as well as military associations. We offer a variety of tours, which can be tailored upon request.

Self Led Visits

Military groups are welcome to visit the site and deliver their own activities. Visits can include self-led tours of the Arboretum and exploration of our free exhibitions, including Landscapes of Life.

We kindly request that anyone wishing to do a self-led visit still informs us of their arrival beforehand, by booking your coach in using the booking form below.
