Teacher Training and CPD

This brand-new package provides an opportunity for teachers and trainee teachers to visit the National Memorial Arboretum as part of Teacher Training and CPD.

During the visit, attendees will be encouraged to see how they can take learning outside of the classroom and think creatively about their subjects and the wider curriculum, using the space and memorials that we have on site.

Teacher Steering Group

We regularly develop new schemes of work to ensure that we are continuously developing the offer to connect to the most current objectives within the education system.

With that in mind are starting a new learning and participation steering group to expand that thinking further. The group will meet 3 times a year (both a mix of hybrid and in person meetings) and the aim is create an opportunity for like-minded people from a variety of different settings to come together to question, challenge and work collaboratively around ideas that the wider Arboretum have in relation to the future learning and participation offer in exchange for access to special opportunities and taster events.

If this is something you and your school are interested in, then please do email education@thenma.org.uk sign up to find out more.
