Information For Coach Drivers

Open for visitors!

The National Memorial Arboretum is open freely to all, year-round from 10am-5pm, every day except Christmas Day.  We recommend pre-booking your visit, to guarantee entry.

Please note: on Wednesday 28 July the North part of the site (which includes, but is not limited to, the Royal British Legion Poppy Field, Allied Special Forces Memorial Grove and the memorials and individual dedications in the areas surrounding them and the UK Police Memorial) will be closed to visitors until approximately 2.30pm, whilst a private dedication ceremony takes place at the UK Police Memorial.  The new memorial will be open to visitors from Thursday 29 July. There will also be limited access to the memorials on the Naval Review until the service has ended at 2.30pm. We will be unable to offer our Stick Man Trail, Outdoor Escape Challenges and Our Everyday Heroes activity packs on Wednesday 28 July. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

Pre-book your visit

If you are travelling to the Arboretum in a coach, we kindly ask that you book in with us ahead of time so we can welcome your group upon arrival.

Pulling into the main car park, there are two coach ‘drop off’ bays, where your passengers can disembark. Your driver will then be directed to coach parking facilities.

When you pre-book your visit with us, your coach driver will also receive a voucher on arrival to spend in our restaurant.

Coach Friendly Status

In September 2017 we were awarded with 'Coach-Friendly' Status. The status recognises and rewards the commitment made by sites such as the National Memorial Arboretum in understanding the requirements of coaches and their passengers, while also providing first-class facilities, access and information for drivers

Accommodation

If you are planning an overnight stay, visit our partners at Enjoy Staffordshire to see a list of local hotels and B&B’s.

Visiting Staffordshire

You could spend a whole day or more exploring the Arboretum, but if you do want to discover the wider area there is lots on offer. Why not combine a visit to us with one of the other exciting attractions in Staffordshire or the National Forest.
