The National Memorial Arboretum, part of the Royal British Legion, joins the Nation, the Commonwealth and the rest of the World in mourning the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was a Life Member of the Royal British Legion and he was gracious and generous in his support of the National Memorial Arboretum over many years.

Using our inspiring landscape as inspiration for a series of workshops and activities, there is plenty for your Girlguiding & Scout Association Groups, home education partnerships, sports teams and other youth groups to do while at the Arboretum.

Why not join one of our team and learn rope skills and den building, or how to use tools and create an effective fire. This full day session allows you to choose two items from the following list and spend the day surrounded by nature; Woodland Team Building, Tool Skills, Rope Skills and Den Building, Fire Skills, Knife Skills.

Act of Remembrance

Only with us for part of the day, why not join us in an Act of Remembrance. Participants in these activities reflect on the key themes of Remembrance and why these rituals can be important. Groups may personalise the act with their own readings, poems and songs if they wish, and this activity is tailored for older or younger age groups.

Self-Led Visits

Groups are welcome to visit the site and deliver their own activities. Visits can include self-led tours of the Arboretum and exploration of our free exhibitions, including Landscapes of Life. We kindly request that anyone wishing to do a self-led visit still informs us of their arrival beforehand, by booking your coach in using the online portal below.
