Their Finest Hour

  • 17 February 2024
  • 11am - 3pm

Do you have any items or stories related to the Second World War that you would like to share and preserve for future generations?

The University of Oxford, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, aims to empower local communities to digitally preserve these stories and objects before they are lost to posterity.

Bring your diaries, letters, photographs, memoirs, objects or stories about your family’s experience in the war here to the National Memorial Arboretum to be recorded and added to the Universities freely-available, online archive.

Volunteers will be on hand from 11.00am to 3.00pm to welcome you and help record your story and photograph your objects.

Please do not bring any weapons or dangerous items (including gas masks) to the event.
