Since 2008, motorcyclists of all ages have participated in this annual pilgrimage from across the country. During the day, a Service of Remembrance takes place at the Armed Forces Memorial, allowing participants to take a moment to remember and reflect.
On Saturday 5 October a park and ride facility will be in operation, all cars arriving at the Arboretum will be directed to this facility. Please follow the direction of event signage and our event marshals. Visitors wishing to arrive at the Arboretum by car, but are not registered to ride in the Ride to the Wall event, will be required to pre-book their parking in advance. A £4 per vehicle charge will apply to all vehicles booked in advance (£6 on the day), and a park and ride facility will be in operation from Alrewas Showground (DE13 7EW) for all visitors including blue badge holders. The shuttle services that will be in operation on this day are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate standard mobility scooters.
The Armed Forces Memorial will be closed until after the Ride to the Wall service on Saturday 5 October, starting at 12pm.
We will be unable to offer Land Train or buggy tours on this day, our daily programme of free talks will be available upon request. Please speak to a member of our team at the Welcome Desk for further information.
Ride to the Wall is a unique motorcycling event which gives motorcyclists an opportunity to gather together at a place of Remembrance, to pay their respects to our serving and fallen service men and women and in doing so, raise funds for the purpose of perpetuating their memory and recognising the sacrifice made.
