It’s 1944 and Mrs Ball of Cherry Tree Road is getting prepared for a special family Christmas.

Inspired by the 'Make Do and Mend' spirit of the Second World War, and set within The Year Was 1944 exhibition, join workshop leader Gilly Haines for this special festive papercraft workshop.

During the workshop Gilly, an enthusiastic art teacher, crafter, and maker, will be sharing her knowledge and demonstrating how to craft Christmas decorations using recycled paper to decorate your own home. This workshop is ideal for beginners and all materials, including templates to use at home, will be included.

Festive refreshments will also be served in The Year Was 1944, an exhibition inspired by the wartime home of Mrs Ball and her family.

Places are extremely limited for this workshop and must be booked in advance.
