Join us with our host - Brummie comedy legend Barbara Nice, as we welcome veteran graduates of RBL’s ‘Recovery through Comedy’ programme following their UK tour; New Orleans style brass band ‘Bostin Brass’ and ‘Massaoke’; an incredible live band playing hairbrush anthems from across the decades, accompanied by giant video lyrics. Gather your family and friends and get ready to laugh-out-loud and stretch those vocal cords.
Amidst a week of activity celebrating the service of our Armed Forces community*, we are delighted to be working in partnership with the Royal British Legion to bring this ‘bostin’ evening of entertainment to the National Memorial Arboretum
This an outdoor event, set in Heroes' Square. The event is fully accessible - please register in advance for admittance to our dedicated Access Area by emailing info@thenma.org.uk. Our Restaurant will be open thought the evening.

Our Armed Forces Tickets will be available to current serving members and Veterans of the British Armed Forces. A maximum of six tickets can be booked per serving member or veteran. A Military or Veteran ID must be shown on entry to the event by at least one member of the party.

Parking
A £4 per vehicle advance parking charge will apply for this event. We do advise that parking and tickets are booked together, as prompted online. If you have not booked parking you can do so by calling 01283 245 100. A £6 per vehicle charge will apply on the evening.
Visitors who wish to visit us on the 29 June are welcome to do so and you will not be required to book a secondary parking ticket. However, our Remembrance Centre and grounds will close at 5pm, visitors will not be able to remain in our grounds or Remembrance Centre between 5pm and 6.30pm when our doors re-open for evening guests.
Mobility Aids
A limited number of mobility scooters can be booked for use during the course of the evening at a cost of £10 per scooter. Book a mobility scooter online or call 01283 245 100.
A group of veterans who are also comedians (and are hilarious!). Graduates of the Royal British Legion’s Recovery through Comedy course which used comedy to promote resilience, support mental health and improve wellbeing. Since then, the group have performed across the UK, including at the iconic Edinburgh Fringe Festival and are excited to bring their show to the stage at the Arboretum.
A New Orleans style brass band based in Birmingham Bostin Brass have played soul-music through the streets of Birmingham for the best part of a decade. From their beginnings as a marching band in Digbeth, the group have taken their own brand of Brummie infused second-line, Gumbo with extra HP sauce, and continue to wow audiences in mardi gras parades, concert halls and international jazz festivals.
From New York to Australia, and across all of Europe, MASSAOKE®️ have played to huge crowds at Festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and the Edinburgh Fringe. A brilliant live band, expect rockstar peformances with maximum audience participation as our audience brings the sing.
This is a standing only event and ticket holders will not be permitted to bring their own chairs to use during the performance, for health and safety reasons and the viewing enjoyment of all visitors.

This event is recommended for children aged 12+.
Please note that the Veterans' Comedy Club's performance does draw on their experiences in both their military and civilian lives and therefore some content may be unsuitable for some members of the audience. In some performances moderate bad language may also be used.
Visitors are not permitted to bring their own food and drink into this performance. Our Restaurant and bar facilitites will be available during the course of the evening.
A bag check operation will be in place, and food and drink being brought into the event will be confiscated.
Our doors will open to ticket holders at 6.30pm. Our first act, the Veterans Comedy Club will begin at 7pm. Our final act Massaoke will finish at 11pm.
