Letters From the Frontline

Gallery Three | 3 May - 16 November | Free

Produced in partnership with BBC radio stations across the Midlands, Letters from the Frontline shares the changing experiences and emotions of Armed Forces Personnel and their families during 1945, throughout the final months of the Second World War.

Giving a voice to wartime letters shared by BBC Radio listeners, the exhibition charts the journey from trepidation to jubilation, as six gruelling years of conflict come to an end. A selection of the correspondence shared with the BBC will be brought to life in the exhibition using recitals by family members or actors.
