Threads of Remembrance

Visitor Information

We look forward to welcoming visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum this Easter holiday. Please be aware that planned improvement works on the A38 at Lichfield, in place from 27 March to 8 April, may affect some visitor road travel. The Arboretum will remain open daily as normal, from 10am – 5pm, and signposted diversion routes will remain in place to support journeys impacted.

Created in partnership with BAMM (British Association for Modern Mosaic), Threads of Remembrance brings together more than 100 individual mosaic pieces, each inspired by memories of time shared with loved ones.

Professional mosaic artists from across the world have contributed their work, coming together to create a singular piece inspired by the neural patterns created when we remember.

Much like the Arboretum itself, the final piece will share a rich tapestry of stories, each one adding meaning to its whole.

25 Years of... the National Memorial Arboretum

In 2026, we will mark 25 years since the Arboretum officially opened to the public.

Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating the stories, milestones, and moments that have shaped our story so far, as we look to the future, with a special programme of exciting exhibitions, events and activities.
