Visitor Information

We look forward to welcoming visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum this Easter holiday. Please be aware that planned improvement works on the A38 at Lichfield, in place from 27 March to 8 April, may affect some visitor road travel. The Arboretum will remain open daily as normal, from 10am – 5pm, and signposted diversion routes will remain in place to support journeys impacted.

At the heart of the National Memorial Arboretum is a community of people whose dedication, creativity and vision have shaped our story.

This new anniversary exhibition explores the history of the Arboretum, from its humble beginnings to a now thriving landscape, as told through the experiences of 25 remarkable women who have played an important role in its development.

Using film, photography and personal reflection visitors are invited on a journey into the history of the Arboretum. From those who established and nurtured, to creatives whose artistry brings the inspiring stories we share to life, together, their collective voices tell of the people and moments that have defined the Arboretum’s story so far, and the legacy it continues to build for future generations.
