25 Years of... Celebrating Schools Performance

Visitor Information

We look forward to welcoming visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum this Easter holiday. Please be aware that planned improvement works on the A38 at Lichfield, in place from 27 March to 8 April, may affect some visitor road travel. The Arboretum will remain open daily as normal, from 10am – 5pm, and signposted diversion routes will remain in place to support journeys impacted.

25 groups of young people from 11 local schools will take to the stage to share moments from the Arboretum’s story through music, poetry, dance and theatrical performance.

Drawing on creative skills developed during a free eight week in school programme more than 600 school children will help to bring the Arboretum’s story to life, symbolically passing the baton of Remembrance as they move through the stories that shape us.

Everyone is invited to attend this celebratory performance which will be held in the grounds of the Arboretum.

25 Years of... the National Memorial Arboretum

In 2026, we will mark 25 years since the Arboretum officially opened to the public.

Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating the stories, milestones, and moments that have shaped our story so far, as we look to the future, with a special programme of exciting exhibitions, events and activities.
