The National Memorial Arboretum is open freely to all, year-round from 10am-5pm (closes at 4pm from 15 Nov), every day except Christmas Day.  

Entry to the Arboretum is free, but for everyone's comfort we are limiting the numbers onsite. We recommend pre-booking your visit to guarantee entry. You can check our latest availability and book online using the link below.

Visitors are advised that the Coffee Shop is currently closed. Our Restaurant is open from 10am - 5pm. 

Pre-book your visit

On Sunday 14 November a service will be held in the Arboretum grounds, open to all. 

 

We are expecting high numbers of visitors, and it is essential that you book your visit in advance via our website. Tickets to visit the Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday 2021 can be booked on our website here

 

Visitors who arrive without a booking will not be admitted to the site.

 

We will also be broadcasting our service via our YouTube channel and Facebook page for those unable to attend the service on the day.

For the comfort of our visitors and team we are limiting the numbers of visitors permitted onsite. It is essential that you pre-book your visit to gain entry on Remembrance Sunday. Motorcycles / cycles / visitors arriving on foot will not be charged but booking is still recommended. If you are arriving on site by car / motorcycle you will require one parking ticket per vehicle. The ticket will permit each individual in your vehicle to enter our site. Individuals and cyclists will require individual tickets.

Remembrance Sunday Frequently Asked Questions

What time will the Arboretum open on Remembrance Sunday?

The Remembrance Centre will open at 8am. Anyone arriving for the service is recommended to be there no later than 10.15am.

Do I need to pre-book to visit on Remembrance Sunday?

It is essential that you book your visit in advance of the 14th via our website. I have a blue badge where will I be required to park?
A limited number of blue badge spaces are available close to the Remembrance Centre which will be issued on a first-come-first served basis. A pick-up/ drop-off point is also available close to the Remembrance Centre. Please follow the instructions of our parking attendants on duty. 
Where will I be required to park?
We will be utilising both of our parking areas on Remembrance Sunday. Please follow the instructions of our parking attendants on duty who direct you to a parking area. 
Will the Daily Act of Remembrance take place on Remembrance Sunday?
Our 11am daily act of Remembrance will not take place on Remembrance Sunday. 
Will the service go ahead in inclement weather?

The Remembrance Sunday service will take place in the event of inclement weather

Can I purchase a wreath and floral tribute to lay during the serivce?

Wreaths and individual tokens of Remembrance, such as fresh flowers or poppy tributes, may be laid after the service has ended and the Armed Forces Memorial has re-opened to the public. You are also welcome to lay your tributes at any of our other memorials throughout the day. 

Poppy tributes are available to purchase within the Remembrance Centre.

If you would like to order a wreath, at a cost of £18 (plain) or £20 (personalised) please call 01283 245 100. Wreaths will be made available for collection on the day of the event. 

Can I book a mobility scooter or wheelchair?

The Arboretum has a limited number of both manual wheelchairs (by donation) and motorised scooters (£5.00) which can be booked by calling 01283 245 100. 

Can I watch the service from home?
Our Remembrance Sunday service will be broadcast via our YouTube channel  and Facebook page for those wishing to participate but who are unable to attend the service.
What time will the service begin?

It is recommended that you arrive no later than 10.15am if you wish to attend the Remembrance Sunday service. 

 

 

Will there be a parade on Remembrance Sunday?
We will not be hosting a parade on site at the Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday. 
Will I be able to bring my standard to parade during the Remembrance Sunday service?
Only the Union Flag and National Memorial Arboretum branch standard will be paraded during the Remembrance Sunday service.
