Walking for Health

Visiting Us

Please note that by law you can only visit in groups of up to 6 people (unless you are visiting as a household or support bubble which is larger than 6).

The Arboretum is now open for pre-booked visitors only. Bookings are made per vehicle and can only be made up to two weeks in advance.

In line with Government legislation, we ask all visitors to wear masks in all indoor spaces.

We have implemented new procedures to help keep our visitors and team members safe, including one way systems, additional cleaning regimes, amended food offer, digital chapel welcome talk and reduced daily capacity.

Our restaurant is currently offering a carry out and table service offer. If you wish to dine inside the restaurant, please book a table with our food services team on arrival.

Sited in the heart of the nation, with 30,000 maturing trees and over 400 memorials, it's a beautiful place to visit.

The walks last between 45 minutes and 1 hour, and are aimed at getting people more active whilst at the same time enjoying their local environment.

People of any level of fitness can take part in these walks, as the trained walk leaders can adapt the walk to suit any pace.

Upon arrival in the Arboretum's car park please assemble by the Arboretum access gate (past the Learning centre) at the left of Remembrance Centre prior to the start of the session.

These walks may take you off our hard standing pathways, please ensure you are wearing suitable footwear and are dressed weather appropriately.

Please note only working assistance dogs will be permitted to join you on this walk.
